Sweeping the floor. I’m the worst floor sweeper at Hubbard’s Marina for sure. I also hate cancelling trips. I feel awful when I have to do it.

What is something Interesting about you?
I was the only lady angler on the Ball State Bass Fishing Club in College. I wasn’t great, but I had a lot of fun! I even got picked to be in the National collegiate tournament on ESPN, but it got cancelled due to weather, so I know how people feel when weather ruins your plans.

Some Advice to Future Guests?
When we tell you to be here an hour early to check in, do it. A trip with us should be fun and relaxing, not stressful because you got stuck in traffic or couldn’t find a place to park. Also… Read the website. There is a ton of information on there!

Any Tips or Tricks you would give to Guests?
Come to John’s Pass early for your trip or plan to stay after your trip! If you drive park in the garage. Then you can enjoy extra time shopping, eating, or drinking and parking is just $5 when you are on a trip with us. Oh and… Bring the ladies in the office treats. We love treats and it makes our day!

Don’t ask about the Calypso Breeze. It’s not our boat. The only thing I know is that it is big, yellow, and the captain and crew are cool.

Please read your confirmation emails as well as the website. It has EVERYTHING pertaining to Fishing in the Gulf of Mexico. Chances are, your questions could be answered before you even arrive.

My dad took us all fishing since we were little kids. How we learn to swim was, I put a life preserver on us and a rope and while we were anchored and throw us overboard nicely of course. So we’re just paddle around learn how to swim

Some Advice to Future Guests?
I would suggest that you don’t take Dramamine but you take b o n n i n e, if you think you might have seasickness. I would take it two nights before you come on the boat the night before you come on the boat and you should be all set. If not come and see me I have ginger pills and a piece of bread that’ll help soak up the bile acids in your stomach

Any Tips or Tricks you would give to Guests?
f you’re feeling a little nauseated while fishing at night, don’t look at the water or the tip of your Pole look at the people fishing next to you they’re on the same plane as you are. And that doesn’t work I still have ginger pills!

Being out on the Gulf of Mexico is so beautiful. I’ve seen the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets in my life. And a lot of excitement! I sort of feel camping at sea it’s the best way to describe your voyage. As long as you bring a few sets of clothes maybe some rain gear another pair of shoes or boots sleeping bag and pillow enough cash to buy beer or food you’re all set!
