We’re seeing lane snapper on cut squid, live shrimp and cut thread fins. Lane snapper are a great addition to the fish box as we target the hogfish and mangrove snapper.
Hogfish action is going really well in nearshore right now we’re seeing those hogfish really active on our five-hour half day 10 hour all day and nearshore private fishing charters we typically catch a majority of our hogfish using live shrimp on three different rig setups either the knocker rig, the naked ball jigs, or those banana jigs that we carry in our shop.
We’re also seeing hogfish around shell areas anywhere you can find some crustaceans is gonna typically hold hogfish.
Red grouper action is going pretty good near shore too we’re seeing a lot of those juvenile red grouper while targeting the hogfish lane snapper and mangroves and shallower near shore waters.
Snook action is going pretty well around the area especially in the upper and Back Bay areas we’re finding some pretty actively feeding snook.
Red grouper fishing has been absolutely incredible offshore right now. Any trip that’s allowing us to get out there past 110 to 120 foot of water have been absolutely crushing the red grouper.
