we had plentiful red grouper, scamp grouper and some nice big gag grouper too
Positive news though on our red snapper fishery! We now have a seventy nine day season starting June first and running through end of day August 18th.
The family owned and operated boating fleet won amongst a crowded and prestigious field.
We had a truly awe inspiring offshore pelagic bite with a nearly 100lb wahoo! We filmed with the T.A. Mahoney Co, for their show “Tails From The Darkside” on Waypoint TV
Red grouper action remains steady near shore as long as your past around seventy foot of water. We are seeing them on the live pinfish and also big threadfins with the tail cut.
Lane snapper and mangrove snapper are super thick and cooperative around 70-100ft of water in the deepest part of the near shore waters.
Mackerel are thick near shore still and we are seeing quite a few of them while trolling out and back on our five-hour half days.
We had monster triggerfish and were only two away from a boat limit on the triggerfish too.
Mackerel are super thick near shore right now from the beaches out to around 80ft of water. We are seeing them mostly around 30-60ft range using trolling spoons behind number one or two planners.
